A Day in the Life of a Flower Shop

A flower shop could be a few different things. It may be a place you drive by while going to work every day, or it could be a place where you get beautiful arrangements for a loved one, but for me, it’s my second home. My mom is the proud owner of Mohegan Flowers and Gifts LLC, and I get to watch her work!
There are many people who make the shop a great place to be. First there’s our manager, Wayne. He can think up a beautiful masterpiece in about 5 minutes. He also can think up a joke that everyone can laugh at (sometimes they are a little inappropriate, so I won’t mention them here). Next is Sandy, one of our flower arrangers. She loves to quietly do her work. Sometimes I worry about her because she is the only one not talking, and I think she has fallen asleep. Finally, there is my mom, the Starbucks addict. Every time she comes into work, she is carrying a Grande Hot Chocolate, two pumps hazelnut, two pumps vanilla, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle (she can’t have coffee). She isn’t selfish though, because she always brings some coffee in for the others. These are the arrangement designers of our shop whom I love, a lot.
I love watching my mom work. It is fun to see what people are ordering, and how beautiful the arrangements turn out! Later, I will talk with you about the many different types of flowers and their names. A lot of the flowers that I have never heard of before are the most beautiful.
Until Next Time,
